A Golden Halloween
Its almost the the most romantic time of the year:
Halloween.
I know that sounds strange, but I grew up romanticizing the feeling of fall.
What it sounds like, what it looks like, and how it makes me feel.
It feels like sitting on the edge of a roof or a cliff, staring into the city and the breeze hits your face while you hold her hand.
It feels like 3 AM calls with her as you stare out your window into the sky and the vastness of the moon.
It feels like a wet bench in the darkness of night, warmed by the feeling of her head on your shoulder as rain pours all around.
It feels like camping and watching the stars pass over you as you kiss her on the forehead.
It feels like going into warm restaurant with her and seeing snow fall outside as you sip you warm coffee.
It feels like growing up with her and seeing every part of her.
It feels like giving her one last hug and crying on her shoulder.
It feels like being alone on Halloween and through fall.
It feels like the smell of her shirts and the stains she got on your adventures.
It just feels like her.
But the only thing missing...
Is her.
