comparisons and metaphors

I'm trying to find the perfect metaphor, the perfect analogy, the perfect phrase to express how I feel about you.

The ocean, with its vastness is a good start, but it's still just a comparison. The bright galaxies with their twinkling stars, are a reminder of the infinite possibilities but it's still just a comparison. The full moon, illuminating the night skies much like you do with mine, but yet again it's still just a comparison.

Perhaps the perfect phrase remains elusive, but I'm willing to keep searching, pouring my heart onto the page, in the hope that the words will somehow, magically, convey the essence of my love for you.
